From The Ashes Of Defeat --!: Continuing where the last issue left off, The Avengers are helpless bystanders while Kang's unstoppable army is set to roll over Ravonna's defenseless kingdom....
She's not dead. Far from it. Well, she is, and she isn't. Many different divergent realities will spring forth from this crossroads in Kang's cross-timeline(s). In some, she's dead. In others, Kang will place her in a suspended animation chamber, until he finds a way to restore her. In some realities, he will fail. In some, he will succeed. In at least one reality, Kang was killed, instead of her. In one particular reality, featured in issue #71, in a contest with The Grandmaster, Kang will win the power over life or death. He will squander his one chance to restore Ravonna, in favor of trying to kill The Avengers. Of course, he'll fail at that, and a different Ravonna, learning of Kang's betrayal of her, will become the Terminatrix, with one purpose; death to Kang. When she sees that plan to fruition, what does she do? She puts him in a suspended animation chamber, until she finds a way to restore him, of course!
