Grudge Match!: Since both Avengers branches are now working under the United Nations, General Lewis Hayworth informs the Avengers West Coast that they are no longer required to...
Hawkeye’s only ever strength enhancement, beyond that bestowed naturally by pulling on a taut bowstring all the time, was that which he got from growing, back when he was Goliath II. Before the end of this series, Hawkeye will grow again, this time without giving up his Hawkeye persona, which pretty much makes him a dual-identity hero, Hawkeye when he’s normal size, Goliath II when he’s big. As Goliath II, Hawkeye will work with U.S. Agent again, and could obviously fare better against him than he did here, and they still won’t like each other, and it will be made clear between them that Goliath II is no Hawkeye, but they will go back to tolerating each other, as before. This fight served its purpose, to get their reciprocal hostilities out.
