The Land of Canaan, 6000 years ago, holy warriors locked down a doorway to hell with four stones and threw away the key. In Jerusalem today, construction workers dug out what they think could be the most important archeological find in history, not knowing what they have just unearthed, for the key has also been found.
When scientists arrive, they clumsily place the key on the artifact and active the doorway, unleashing a hellish hord of demons on Earth. During the opening, the key bearer falls down into the pit along with the key which is now lost in hell. And anyone who tries to enter the gate is immediately eviscerated because only humans destined to go to hell can actually penetrate this dimension. A special team of inmates is put together by the government to retrieve the key...
Story based on INFERNO created by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman.
